Project 1- APOX
Animoto is working to give the best games especially RTS games to the gamer’s world.
APOX (means APOCOLYPSE) is a survival strategy game with FPS tactics, set in near post-apocalyptic times. The world has been destroyed to a great extent and the players will be fighting for survival against wasteland raiders. We are using Trash game- winner of Game Tunnel’s 'Multiplayer Game’ of the year award in 2005 as a base for the present RTS project. We are completely remaking the graphics, evolving the game design and incorporating ideas from the FPS (First Person Shooter) genre. However the game will remain primarily an RTS.
Project Schedule: Product to ship, in the year start of 2010.
Target Platforms: PC (Windows and Mac) (Possible Linux version as well).
Graphics Engine: We are developing the game on our in-house game engine integrated with OGRE graphics engine.
